Act Like You Know
Who do you think you are? In a world that questions who you are, you must know and act like it.
It’s been a quiet girl summer for me so far. In my stillness, I’ve been sitting with the thought of acting on (and like) what I know.
For so long, I found the question, “Who do you think you are?” problematic. Can you relate?
I know now that some people can sense our deep understanding of who we are as much as they can detect our insecurities. This is not always the case - but it is possible.
This #WithLoveLydiaWednesday, I want you to sit and think deeply about who you are. Sit with it, stand on it, and show up like you know.
You’ve known all along. Trust that.
I’ve known, and at times, I have been intimidated by the thought that being who I am in my fullness and my efforts might not be received.
That is no longer my concern. How I live my life is my business, so it’s critical to ‘act like it.’
One of my favorite lines from Toni Jones, an affirmation music artist, song, I See Thoughts is, "It's gonna be a whole lot of who do I think I am .”
That’s the kind of energy I want to encourage you to embody.
You’ve known all along. Trust that.
It’s one of the things I’m holding on to this season as I continue to lift myself out of spaces that feel limiting. And trust in God. Okayyy…
Be encouraged and think highly of yourself.
